Performative situation performed by Bári Raklóri, Lucia G. Stach & audience (Hájovňa – Červená Studňa, 12 October 2024)

The performative poetic situation is a suggestive groping of time, memory and identity, where the two funnels become a metaphor for an hourglass, representing the cyclical nature of history and the resonance of cultural roots into the future. The soil, symbolizing the buried Roma history, flows from the bottom funnel hidden in the urn (the past) to the top funnel serving as a sounding trumpet (the future), where seeds for the growth of new possibilities germinate. Halgato’s reinterpreted song evokes the voices of the past and culminates in a hopeful vision of continuity, resilience and cultural identity. The audience is actively involved in the performance.
